My Current Gig
I currently work at the SETI Institute as a Senior Software Engineer working on the control systems at the Allen Telescope Array. I am also a major contributor and project manager for the open source project setiQuest. My handle on the project is jrseti.
My current effort is to figure out how to Gamify the signal analysis challenge at SETI, and if it is feasible to create a SETI based children's game for mobile devices.

What I Am Reading Now
I've been doing more web programming. I love Ruby, I am learing Rails. I want to be ambidextrous with iOS and Android.
- - Ruby On Rails 3 Tutorial -- It is VERY good.
- - Learning Android -- Not too hard, it is Java!
- - Building iPhone Apps with HTML, CSS and Javascript -- Is this a viable way to develop the best iPhone apps? Maybe not, but I'll see if I can do something useful.
